OFFICERS SELECTED DURING THE FIRST PHASE IN DECEMBER WILL RECEIVE ORDERS TO TRAVEL TO CG PSC FOR AN INTERVIEW DURING THE WEEK OF 11 JANUARY 2010. RPAS SHOULD EXPECT A REWARDING AND UNIQUE CAREER THAT FOCUSES ON ORGANIZING, ADMINISTERING, RECRUITING, INSTRUCTING, AND TRAINING OUR RESERVE FORCE FOR ALL THREATS, ALL HAZARDS, ALL MISSIONS. 2. RPA PROGRAM: A. THE RPA CORPS CONSISTS OF OFFICERS SERVING IN FULL-TIME SUPPORT POSITIONS AT SECTORS, DISTRICTS, AND HQ UNITS. RPAS MAY ALSO BE ASSIGNED TO APPROPRIATELY RELATED SPECIALTIES TO BROADEN THEIR PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE. RPAS SHOULD EXPECT TO SERVE PRIMARILY IN STAFF TOUR ASSIGNMENTS. B. RPAS ARE CONSIDERED SEPARATELY FOR PROMOTION DURING THE SAME PROMOTION YEAR (PY), AND PROMOTED THE SAME DAY, AS THEIR ACTIVE DUTY PROMOTION LIST RUNNING MATES. OFFICERS DO NOT LOSE THEIR PRECEDENCE TRANSITIONING FROM THE ADPL OR IDPL TO THE RPA LIST. C. RPAS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR AND MAY APPLY FOR FULL-TIME, POST-GRADUATE EDUCATION IN BUSINESS OR PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION. D. RPAS SERVE ON FULL-TIME, EXTENDED ACTIVE DUTY (EAD) ORDERS AND HAVE THE SAME ENTITLEMENTS AND BENEFITS AS REGULAR OFFICERS, INCLUDING THE OPPORTUNITY TO EARN AN ACTIVE DUTY RETIREMENT. 3. THOSE SELECTED AS PROVISIONAL RPAS WILL BE OFFERED THREE-YEAR EAD CONTRACTS AND CAN EXPECT AN INITIAL ASSIGNMENT TO A TRAINING / DEVELOPMENTAL BILLET. AFTER TWO YEARS OF ACTIVE DUTY, PROVISIONAL RPAS ARE CONSIDERED FOR PERMANENT RPA STATUS BY THE NEXT RPA PERMANENCY DESIGNATION BOARD. PROVISIONAL RPAS WHO ACQUIRE PERMANENT RPA STATUS RECEIVE INDEFINITE ORDERS TO ACTIVE DUTY AND SERVE ON FULL-TIME ACTIVE DUTY UNTIL SEPARATION OR RETIREMENT. 4. TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: LIMITATIONS IN REF A ARE MODIFIED TO ALLOW ALL O-1 THROUGH O-3 ACTIVE AND RESERVE COMMISSIONED OFFICERS TO APPLY. RETIRED OFFICERS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE AT THIS TIME. 5.
