SUBJ: BOATSWAINS MATE (BM) ASSIGNMENT YEAR (AY) 2013 VACANCIES

1. This Message updates the status of the Assignment process for the
Boatswain's Mate Rating for AY13.
2. We have completed the Assignment Process for pay grades E9 thru E6
and orders have been issued. We are still in the process of assigning
E5 and E4 members tour complete in AY13 and will send a SEPCOR upon
completion.
3. The following positions remain vacant at the E8 - E6 pay grades
and we will continue to work on these throughout the assignment year.
Members interested in the positions listed below should forward their
request via e-mail through their Chain of Command to the below POC
NLT COB 15 MAR 2013. Members that are not tour complete will be
considered for these positions with a command endorsement stating
backfill requirements. Members assigned to a Command Cadre position
will not be considered. Members that are in double encumbered
positions, currently above the cut on an advancement list, or in a
pay grade to billet mismatch should strongly consider applying for
the below positions. Current vacancies are also available for viewing
