1. IAW REF A, the Machinery Technician assignments for E4 thru E9
(Priority 1 thru 4) have been completed. Those tour complete
individuals (Priority 1 thru 4)who have not received orders or been
contacted by their Assignment Officer (AO) should contact their AO
immediately.
2. In an effort to ensure Priority 5 members have the ability to
submit a realistic e-resume with the positions that are
available/open on the shopping list, all Priority 5 members should
submit an updated e-resume IAW the below timeline. Although it is not
required, submitting an updated e-resume will ensure Priority 5
members are not competing for positions that are no longer available.
3. Updated AY13 timelines for MK assignments:
A. All MK's not in receipt of AY13 orders are encouraged to review
Direct Access for changes to the MK AY13 shopping list.
B. 14-21 JAN 2013: All Priority 5 members should re-submit an
e-resume with jobs listed as OPEN in Direct Access.
C. 22 JAN - 31 MAR 2013: Priority 5 personnel slated and orders
issued.
4. Members not able to meet the e-resume deadline due to unit
operational commitments shall notify the appropriate AO by email or
message as necessary.
5. Members should verify their email address in Direct Access using
the (at)uscg.mil as the primary email address and that contact phone
numbers are correct. Members are encouraged to address Special Needs
and co-location desires in the remarks of their e-resume.
6. Members are reminded that assignments are not made based on when
e-resumes are received. Members should take their time to
thoroughly review/draft their e-resume for submission and discuss
their submission with mentors, Command Cadre or the Chiefs mess. AOs
will not begin reviewing e-resumes until 22 JAN 2013.
7. Members seeking EPO assignments shall ensure all requirements per
REF A, B, and C are met. Members seeking OCONUS assignments should
complete an overseas pre-screening form found in REF A and note this
in the remarks sections of their e-resume.
8. Commands shall endorse e-resumes IAW REF A for overseas
assignments, Instructor positions, and TACLETS/LEDETS. Additionally,
Commands must validate members weight and current marks in Direct
Access.
