1. IAW ref (A) thru (E), The Boatswain's Mate assignments for E4 thru
E7 (priority 1 thru 3), E8/E9's and all OIC/XPO orders have
been completed. Those tour complete individuals (priority 1 thru 3)
who have not received orders or been contacted by their Assignment
Officer (AO) should contact their AO immediately.
A. Updated AY13 timelines for BM assignments:
(1) 11 JAN 2013: Re-publish BM shopping list for priority 4 and 5
candidates.
(2) 01 FEB 2013: All tour complete priority 4 and 5 e-resumes due
with Command endorsements (if applicable).
(3) 01 FEB - 31 MAR 2013: Priority 4 and 5 personnel slated/orders
issued.
(4) 31 MAR 2013: All BM orders issued for AY13.
B. Members not able to meet the e-resume deadline due to unit
operational commitments shall notify the appropriate Assignment
Officer by email or message as necessary.
2. All BM's should review Direct Access for changes to the BM AY13
shopping list.
3. Members are encouraged to verify their email address in Direct
Access using the (at)uscg.mil as the primary email address and that
contact phone numbers are correct. Members are encouraged to address
Special Needs and co-location desires in the remarks of their
e-resume.
4. Members are reminded that assignments are not made based on when
e-resumes are received. There are no extra points given for an
expedited/rushed submission. Members should take their time to
thoroughly review/draft their e-resume for submission. Members should
discuss their submission with mentors, Command Cadre
or the Chiefs mess. Assignment Officers will not begin reviewing
e-resumes until 1 FEB 2013.
5. Members seeking OCONUS assignments should complete an overseas
pre-screening form found in ref (A) and note this in the remarks
sections of their e-resume.
6. Commands shall endorse e-resumes according as per ref (A) for
overseas assignments, Instructor positions, TACLETS/LEDETS, ATG's,
and HITRON's. Additionally, Commands must validate members weight and
current marks in Direct Access.
