The Coast Guard RDT&E program partners with:
professionals in the public and private sectors, including the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science & Technology Directorate, to leverage emering technologies to efficiently and effectively address DHS mission capability gaps
the U.S. Navy Commander, Operational Test & Evaluation Force (COTF) thru a Memorandum of Understanding that designates COTF as the "Operational Test Authority" to conduct independent operational testing of first in class production items, and assess the suitability for the intended environment and effectiveness in performing its mission
the Office of Naval Research, the Navy's parent command for all U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps R&D efforts, on projects and technologies of common interest to the Navy and the Coast Guard, primarily in the program areas of Ports, Waterways and Coastal Security and C4ISR
professionals in the public and private sectors, through a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement, to use technologies from the Coast Guard's RDC in the private sector for a public or commercial purpose or to perform cooperative and mutually beneficial research and development
