WILMINGTON, N.C.-Coast Guard Fifth District Commander Rear Adm. The Interagency Operations Centers (IOC) project is a major acquisition that will provide a framework and tools for improved effectiveness and efficiency of interagency operations in the ports. Improved facilities, information management systems and capabilities will support a higher level of integration and coordination for a proactive national security environment. Status

The U.S. Coast Guard Acquisition Directorate is delivering technology demonstrations of its WatchKeeper software at 17 ports across the U.S. by 2012. WatchKeeper is expected to be deployed at a total of 35 Coast Guard sector locations by 2014.
