All eligible Service members will show documented evidence that they have:
Completed an Individual Transition Plan (ITP). The ITP must document the individual’s personal employment; higher education; career technical training; and or entrepreneurship goals, actions, and milestones.
Completed a 12-month post-separation budget.
Registered for an eBenefits online account.
Completed Continuum of Military Service Opportunity counseling (active component (AC) only).
Evaluated transferability of military skills to the civilian workforce and completed the TVPO standardized gap analysis provided during the MOC crosswalk.
Identified requirements and eligibility for certification, licensure, and apprenticeship in the Service member’s desired potential career field.
Completed standardized individual assessment tool, to identify personal interests and leanings that will enable informed decision-making regarding career selection.
Received DOL Gold Card, for DOL American job centers.
Completed a job application package or received job offer letter. The package must include a private or public sector resume, personal and professional references, and at least two submitted job applications.
Higher Education and Career Technical Training CRS
Eligible Service members seeking higher education or career technical training when they depart from military service will show documented evidence that they have:
Completed a standardized individual assessment tool, to assess aptitudes, interests, strengths, or skills used to inform a Service member’s decisions about selecting higher education and career technical training toward a desired future career field.
Completed comparison of higher education or career technical training institution options.
Completed application or received acceptance letter from a higher education or career technical training institution.
Confirmed one-on-one counseling with a higher education or career technical training institution advisor via telephone, email, or letter.
