·         Since 25 January 2010, the C-26 mission has transported 16,885 pounds of cargo, 206 passengers totaling 172.9 hours of flight time.

UPDATE SUMMARY: 

 

NROWS:

 

27 personnel are on various forms of Voluntary contingency orders (largely ADT) providing operational support to the earthquake humanitarian assistance/disaster relief operation in Haiti.  BOG Haiti: 2

 

·         Of those 28, 12 are officers and 15 are enlisted personnel.

·         Types of Orders:  22 ADT; 4 AT; 1 IDTT

·         Cumulative RPN Cost of Current Orders:  $635K

·         945 personnel have completed orders.  Cumulative RPN Cost of Completed Orders = $5.730M

·         4 personnel will start orders on 7 Apr 2010 or later.  Projected Cumulative RPN Cost of Future Orders = ~$27K

 

MEDICAL:

 

§  (10 Mar) The Navy hospital ship USNS COMFORT has completed its relief mission in Haiti.  USNS COMFORT was stationed off the coast of Haiti for seven weeks treating victims of the 12 January earthquake.  While in Haiti, the ship's personnel treated more than 800 patients.

 

 

 

 

 

CNAFR:

 

·         As of 11 Mar 2010, NALO has completed 145 NUFEA flights, delivering approximately 3,447 passengers and 2.49 million pounds of cargo while flying over 1,190 hours in support of Haiti relief operations.

·           USMC has allocated five (5) USMCR Civil Affairs (CA) Marines (Volunteers) that redeployed early from the CDRUSCENTOM AOR to 22 MEU ISO CDRUSSOUTHCOM HA/DR Operations.  BOG Haiti: 2

 

o    22 MEU did not possess a CA capability, therefore COMMARFORCOM as the Marine Component Commander to CDRUSJFCOM (22 MEU is a CDRUSJFCOM assigned force and the five (5) USMCR CA Marines are Commanded by COMMARFORCOM while activated) provided these capabilities (5 x CA Marines) to 22 MEU prior to deployment to the CDRUSSOUTHCOM AOR.

 

FUTURE OPERATIONS

 

-       USMC is planning to request authorization to activate one Civil Affairs (CA) Team comprised of (11) PAX to augment and reinforce the existing CA capabilities attached to 22MEU ISO Operation Unified Response.  USMCR CA team will be attached to 22 MEU and will support the information cell with the following functions; advise Commander on conduct and employment of 22 MEU Civil Military Operations, provide analysis of civilian administration, infrastructure, population and resources that shape the operating environment; assist the Commander with coordination of Humanitarian Assistance Disaster Relief (HA/DR) in conjunction with Haitian governmental organizations, indigenous population and institutions (IPI), and private and non-governmental relief operations.
