Munro Hall Guest Quarters
Location: U. S. Coast Guard
Academy, New London, CT.
Season of Operation: Year round.
Description: 70 rooms with two (2) twin-size beds,
microwave oven, mini-refrigerator, cable TV/DVD, telephone,
air conditioning, desks, iron and ironing board,
and private bathroom. Pets are not allowed.
Facilities: Complimentary guest laundry,
fitness room, and Wi-Fi service.
Activities:
The Academy has an MWR program offering
leisure travel referral services, attraction ticket
sales, snack
bar, and an Officers/All Hands Club.
There is an Exchange on base with an extensive
souvenir shop, barber shop, dry cleaners, tailor shop, and Navy Federal
Credit Union.
Recreation Equipment Available: MWR operates a six-lane bowling center that is open seasonally and an equipment rental center offering items such as camping equipment, canoes, and kayaks.
Area Attractions:
The Coast Guard Academy is conveniently located within
the Mystic Coast and Country Region, in southeastern Connecticut. Home
to the famous Coast Guard Barque Eagle Tall Ship and the Coast Guard Museum.
The Academy is within minutes of the Mystic
Aquarium, Mystic Seaport, Olde Mystic Village, historic downtown Mystic, the
US Naval Submarine Base, the Nautilus Submarine Museum, and the Mashantucket
Pequot Indian Museum.
Reservations: Advance reservations are
required. Office hours are Monday – Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM. Call
for rates.
Credit
card is required to guarantee your reservation.
Cancellations must be requested 24 hours prior to arrival date.
Payments may be made using Visa, MasterCard, personal
checks with proper ID, travelers checks, or cash.

You must have a reservation to check in
after office hours, weekends and holidays.
Driving Instructions: From New
York City and New Haven, take I-95 South to Exit 83, left at traffic light
at end of ramp, and follow signs to Coast Guard Academy. From Hartford,
take Route 2E, take exit 28 South to I-395 South, take left exit 78 to Route
32 South, follow clearly marked signs to the Academy.
