REMARKS:

Dolly was purchased in New York at a cost of $17,817.48.  She was one of the most heavily armed revenue cutters of her time.  Placed under the command of Revenue Captain Francis Bright, she was ordered to Norfolk, Virginia.  She only served a short time, however, as she was considered to be too large for revenue work and was sold.
