Cutter History:

Discover was one of two Search-Class steam launches built for the Revenue Cutter Service.  The were iron-hulled steam launches with two-mast lugger rigs.  The Discover was assigned to Savannah, George, where she served on harbor duty until 1896.  She was sold for $151 on 19 March 1896.
