Coast Guard Station Fire Island is comprised of one Chief Warrant Officer (Officer in Charge) and 33 enlisted personnel. Of the 33 enlisted personnel most of them are Boatswain Mates, Machinery Technicians and Damage controllman along with a number of non-rated personnel (i.e. Seaman and Fireman). Station Fire Island currently has 5 small boats staged at its location to conduct Search and Rescue (SAR), law enforcement and environmental protection.
