The United States Coast Guard First District Response Division protects the public, our ports, the environment, and U.S. economic interests by responding to and mitigating maritime incidents. The Response Division consists of three branches: The Incident Management Branch is responsible for Search and Rescue, Pollution Response, All-Hazards Preparedness, Boat Force Management and oversight of the District’s Command Center. The Enforcement Branch is responsible for fisheries enforcement and response to maritime homeland security threats. Together, the Response Division focuses on command and control of the First District's operational assets to accomplish incident response, crisis management, and security enforcement.
