PSSU PORTSMOUTH MWR IS SPONSORING THE SEVENTEENTH ANNUAL SHAMROCK INVITATIONAL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT TO BE HELD AT PSSU PORTSMOUTH 16 THROUGH 19 MARCH 2011. 2. THIS IS A DOUBLE ELIMINATION TOURNAMENT UNDER NCAA RULES WITH MODIFICATIONS AS TO TIMING, LENGTH OF GAMES, TEAMS, AND ROSTERS. 3. ENTRY FEES: 375.00 DOLLARS PER TEAM. TEAM PLAYERS MUST BE ASSIGNED TO THE UNIT THEY ARE REPRESENTING WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SMALLER UNITS. SMALLER UNITS THAT CANNOT FIELD A FULL TEAM MAY HAVE UP TO THREE PLAYERS FROM OTHER UNITS THAT ARE NOT ENTERED IN THE TOURNAMENT AND MUST BE IDENTIFIED ON THAT TEAMS ROSTER. A TEAM CONSISTS OF A MAXIMUM OF TWELVE PLAYERS, INCLUDING THE COACH. TEAMS MUST BE COMPRISED OF COAST GUARD PERSONNEL (ACTIVE DUTY, RESERVE, CIVILIAN, AUXILIARY, AND RETIREE). COMPLIMENTARY PLAYER LUNCH BUFFETS WILL BE HOSTED AT THE WHEELHOUSE ON 17 AND 18 MARCH BETWEEN 1200-1430. SPECIAL EVENTS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE FOR SCHEDULING OR CONFLICT PURPOSES. 6. AWARDS: EACH PLAYER AND COACH WILL RECEIVE A TOURNAMENT BAG TO INCLUDE A TEE-SHIRT, GOODIES, AND COMPLIMENTARY ADMISSION TO THE PLAYERS BUFFET. FIRST AND SECOND PLACE TEAM MEMBERS WILL RECEIVE INDIVIDUAL TROPHIES. FIRST, SECOND, AND THIRD PLACE TEAMS WILL RECEIVE A TEAM TROPHY. A MOST VALUABLE PLAYER TROPHY WILL BE AWARDED TO A PLAYER ON THE CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM, SELECTED BY THE COACH. 7.
